Driveways, gates & dropped kerbs
in Hereford.

Block paving, resin-bound and gravel driveways, timber and metal driveway gates, and full vehicle crossover and dropped kerb installations — all done properly, from sub-base to surface. We're NRSWA qualified for highway works, which means we can legally and safely carry out dropped kerb and crossover jobs that require opening up the public footway. We've been building and improving driveways across Hereford and the surrounding area for over 12 years, and every job starts with the groundwork: correct excavation, compacted sub-base, and drainage falls that keep water away from your property.

Common questions about driveways & dropped kerbs.

We lay block paving, resin-bound gravel, loose gravel and tarmac. Resin-bound is a great option if you want a smooth, permeable finish that meets SuDS drainage requirements. We'll talk you through the options when we come to quote.
A dropped kerb (also called a vehicle crossover) lowers the pavement kerb to create a legal vehicular access from the road to your driveway. The work involves opening up the public footway, replacing the standard kerb with a dropped section, and making good the footpath surface. Because this work is on the public highway, it must be carried out by an NRSWA-qualified contractor — which we are. We handle the on-site works; you'll need to apply for council permission beforehand, and we can advise you on that process.
A typical single or double driveway takes two to four days — the first day on excavation and the sub-base, the remainder on laying and finishing. Dropped kerb work is usually a day or two on top, depending on the footway size. We'll give you a realistic timescale when we quote, and we'll keep you updated if anything changes on site.
Yes — we take a deposit to secure your place in the schedule and order materials. The balance is due on completion, once you've had a chance to look over the finished work.
We're based in Hereford and cover the city and surrounding areas — including Leominster, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Bromyard and Kington. If you're not sure whether we cover your postcode, drop it in a WhatsApp and we'll confirm straight away.

“We wanted a set of driveway gates ordered and fitted… Scott and his team were very friendly and efficient and have now left me with the most stunning gates. Highly recommend.”
