We lay natural stone, porcelain and concrete paving, as well as gravel paths and resin-bound surfaces. Sandstone is our most popular choice — it suits Herefordshire gardens well and ages beautifully. We'll talk you through the options and help you choose the material, colour and finish that suits your home and garden.
It depends on the size, but as a rough guide we lay around 10m² a day once the ground's prepped. Most garden patios come in at two to four days — the first day on excavation and the sub-base, the rest on laying and pointing. We'll give you a realistic timescale when we quote.
Every job starts with proper excavation and a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base — that's what stops patios sinking or shifting over time. We set falls away from the house to make sure rainwater drains correctly, and we install channel drainage where it's needed. Getting this foundation right is what separates a patio that lasts from one that doesn't.
Yes — we take a deposit to secure your place in the schedule and order materials. The balance is due on completion, once you've had a chance to look over the finished work.
