We excavate to the right depth, lay a compacted sub-base, and make sure the base is pitched or sits above finished ground level so water drains away from the building. A poorly drained base is one of the main causes of timber rot in sheds and outbuildings — we take it seriously from the start.
A standard shed base is typically completed in a day. Larger bases, or jobs involving significant excavation or sloping ground, may take two or three days. If we're supplying and erecting the building as well, we'll give you a realistic full timescale when we quote.
